The most common question we get before someone commits to a quote: “How much does epoxy flooring cost?” This guide gives you honest numbers so you know what to expect — and how to evaluate quotes you receive.

The Short Answer

For a standard residential garage floor in Utah, expect to pay somewhere in the range of $3–$7 per square foot installed, depending on the factors below. A two-car garage (roughly 400–500 sq ft) typically runs $1,200–$3,500.

What Drives the Price Up or Down

Square footage: Larger projects cost less per square foot because setup, travel, and equipment time are spread over more area.

Prep work required: Diamond grinding is required on every project. But if there are extensive cracks, old coatings to remove, oil contamination, or uneven surfaces, prep takes longer and costs more.

System type: A simple solid-color epoxy + polyaspartic system is less expensive than a decorative full-broadcast color flake system. Metallic epoxy systems are the most expensive.

Moisture vapor barrier: If your slab tests positive for moisture vapor transmission, a barrier needs to go down before coating. This adds cost but prevents bubbling and delamination.

Contractor experience and quality: The cheapest quote is not the best value. A floor installed with acid etching and cheaper material will look fine for a year or two, then start peeling.

What a Typical Quote Covers

A complete quote should include surface preparation (diamond grinding), crack repair for minor cracks, primer/epoxy base coat, broadcast (flake) or solid-color intermediate coat, polyaspartic topcoat, and clean-up. Ask specifically: does this include crack repair? Is the topcoat UV-stable?

What We Charge at Concrete Revival

We don’t publish a fixed price list because every project is different — square footage, slab condition, system type, and site access all affect the number. We provide free, detailed quotes after seeing the space. Our pricing reflects diamond grinding prep, industrial-grade materials, and a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat on every job.
